YAMAHA NS-1200classics

Commentary

A 3-way speaker system designed to convey the vividness of music and reproduce the harmony.

The NS NS-1200classics, sound quality rich in musical quality is realized by thorough sound creation of non-stimulative stretch middle and high sound based on low frequency reproduction.

A 30 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
The cone paper is made of the well-known spruce material that Yamaha has studied and put into practice for many years in the making of musical instruments. It is formed into a conical shape using a unique manufacturing method from beating to cutting and pressing.

It is equipped with an 8 cm dome type squaker in the middle range and a 3 cm dome type tweeter in the high range.
The diaphragm is a soft dome type, made of cotton as a base material, impregnated with phenolic resin and thermo-molded.

All units use an internal magnet type alnico magnet.
The magnetic circuit of each unit is an inner magnetic type in which a magnet is placed under the center pole and surrounded by a yoke, so leakage flux is extremely reduced.

The enclosure is hermetically sealed.
The exterior has a five sided veneer finish with natural wood American Walnut and a piano-touch mirror finish with urethane glazing paint.

There was a special speaker stand (SPS-1200) sold separately.
The NS 1200 classics are designed with a stand included, while the SPS 1200 is a 3-piece design with a beautiful and mild sounding heavyweight African paddock.
The exterior is entirely finished with urethane open pores.
