Commentary

This speaker system was developed with the aim of becoming a high-performance small monitor speaker by reducing only the size of the high-performance large speaker.

Nicknamed the Big Ben, it has been used as a studio monitor around the world and sold over 300000 units.

A 18 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
A conical type white straight cone is used for the diaphragm. A sheet manufacturing method is used for manufacturing this diaphragm to minimize unevenness in density and thickness. A flexible, high-compliance roll edge with little change over time is used for the edge.
The magnetic circuit uses a ferrite magnet with a magnetic flux density of 10,800 Gauss, a voice coil with an edgewise winding of heat-resistant copper ribbon wire, and a lightweight voice coil bobbin to achieve high efficiency and high input resistance.

A 3.5 cm soft dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm uses a soft dome that is integrally molded with tangential edges.
The magnetic circuit employs a 14,000 Gauss ferrite magnet, a 27 mm φ voice coil made of heat-resistant copper-clad aluminum wire, and a lightweight craft bobbin to achieve high input resistance and high efficiency.

The network section is equipped with an MP capacitor for higher sound quality.

The enclosure uses a sealed system and has a six sided integrated structure with 12-15 mm thick particle board bonded with a special strong adhesive. The sealed air suspension controls the movement of the cone paper and reduces the mechanical resistance at the edge. The inside uses a filling material selected based on the sense of hearing.
The exterior is finished with black paint using real wood.
