AX-890
Commentary

Pre-main amplifier with CD direct amplifier and linear damping circuit.

Equipped with a CD direct amplifier, it realizes CD playback with less degradation.
In this system, a low-noise amplifier is installed immediately after the input terminal to improve the S/N ratio at the volume actually used by 10 dB, and the impedance is also reduced, making it less susceptible to external noise.
The AX-890 uses a 2-parallel push-pull circuit that connects two elements in parallel to this amplifier, enabling a more comfortable drive even during large signals.

We have adopted our own linear damping circuit.
In this system, a stable damping factor has been obtained by thorough internal impedance reduction measures such as the adoption of extremely thick wire rods. It does not depend on the type or characteristics of the speaker, and sufficient drive is possible in any situation.

Equipped with a pure direct switch, the input can be directly connected to the power amplifier by bypassing circuits such as tone control.

The power amplifier is designed to be symmetrical from the input terminal to the output terminal. By reducing interference, the noise and distortion are suppressed.

Many internal contacts such as CD input terminals, input selectors, and relays are gold-plated.

Equipped with a continuous loudness circuit.

Equipped with a pre-main coupler, the preamplifier section and power amplifier section can be used independently.

It comes with a system remote control that can operate Yamaha components.
