Commentary
Pre-main amplifier made as a toP-ART (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) component.
Uses a CD direct amplifier with an ultra-low noise amplifier installed immediately after the CD input terminal.
As a result, the S / N ratio in actual use has been improved by 10 dB, making it less susceptible to external noise due to lowered impedance.
Equipped with a pure direct switch.
When this switch is turned ON, the volume is directly connected to the power amplifier via the shortest signal path.
The internal construction greatly separates the preamp section from the power transformer, and arranges the power amplifier inlet to the output terminal symmetrically to reduce the noise and distortion.
A gold-plated 2-contact relay is directly connected to each of the speaker A/B terminals to minimize the path from the amplifier output. In addition, thick wires (φ 1.6 mm) are frequently used for the power and output wiring to achieve both stable driving performance and transparency and sound field.
It uses a linear damping circuit that keeps the internal impedance of the amplifier low and keeps the damping factor constant.
This realizes a flat damping factor from 20 Hz to 20 kHz independent of frequency changes.
Uses 6 mm thick solid aluminum front panel.
We try to reduce internal vibration and resonance by dumping heat sink fins.
It uses parts such as large power transformer, speaker terminal for banana plug, twin contact gold-plated relay, gold-plated CD input terminal and solid aluminum machined knob.
Equipped with Phono input.
Comes with a system remote controller that can operate Yamaha RS-compatible source devices.
