Commentary

This cassette deck is equipped with the mechanism and functions required for digital source recording by inheriting the technology of DD-VR77 and reorganizing Victor's technology based on the quick reverse system.

It is equipped with a quick reverse system based on a rotation method based on the fine axis reverse system. With the rotation accuracy refined over three generations, the frequency characteristics in both forward and reverse directions, especially high-frequency characteristics that easily fluctuate, are always kept equal.
In addition, the infrared sensor embedded in the guide pin detects the splicing tape at the boundary between the magnetic tape and the leader tape and instructs the reverse operation. This enables reliable reverse operation in a short amount of time.

The mechanism is equipped with a silent mechanism of 2-motor full logic + mechanical drive motor. The microcomputer detects the position of the cam linked to the mechanical drive motor to move all modes.

Equipped with a digital peak that displays the maximum recording level on a microcomputer.
The peak hold time is approximately 2 seconds and is displayed in 1 dB steps from 1 dB to 11 dB, over 12 dB for 12 dB or more, under 0 dB for 0 dB or less.
The maximum value is stored in the microcomputer and can be called up by simply pressing the Call button. Therefore, it is possible to check the level before recording or to check the peak value after recording.
In addition, the dB scale displayed on the input level makes it easy to set the recording level.

Equipped with auto fade-in and fade-out functions that can be operated with one button.

When a 14-second blank is found in the FF state, it returns to the end of the previous song, makes a 4-second blank from the regenerating condition, and stops. This is equipped with a blank search function.
In addition, when there is a blank of approximately 14 seconds or more during playback, it is equipped with a blank skip that fast-forwards with FF scan and stops at the beginning of the next song to start playback.

It is equipped with an index scan that operates one after another while playing the head part of a song for about 10 seconds, an auto Rec Mute that automatically sets a silent space of about 4 seconds and performs Rec standby, music scan, memory stop / block repeat, Dolby B / C NR system, 2 color FL meter with digital peak, FL electronic counter with stop watch, input volume with dB display, timer start mechanism, L/R microphone terminal, etc.
