Commentary
This is a cassette deck that uses an all front operation type.
Uses a 30 degree tilt mechanism that allows confirmation of tape travel.
This mechanism comes with an insertion guide for smooth attachment and detachment.
The mechanism section employs a DC servo motor that uses a frequency generator to control the rotational speed to a constant value.
In addition, we have achieved low wow and flutter by combining it with a super-roundness capstan and large flywheels.
As a noise reduction system, it is equipped with Victor's original ANRS (Automatic Noise Reduction System).
ANRS does not work when recording at a high volume, but only when recording at a low volume by increasing the recording level at a constant rate. During playback, ANRS reverses the sound from the source to the original sound, thereby reducing noise components such as tape hiss by up to 10 dB.
ANRS also supports Dolby B tapes.
Equipped with peak check and VU switching type meter.
The amplifier section contains a 3-stage amplified CR type equalizer circuit and an IC line amplifier with an input margin of + 20 dB.
The line and microphone can be mixed.
The recording / reproducing head uses a super chronios head made of ferrite material.
It is equipped with a two step switching type tape selector with independent bias and equalizer.
A new time constant has been adopted for the Chrometape equalizer to achieve high linearity.
An air dump-type cassette door is adopted.
Equipped with a pure electronic tape run indicator.
Equipped with photoelectric full auto-stop mechanism.
Equipped with a memory counter.
Equipped with a beatcut switch for AM broadcast recording.
