Commentary
Demodulator for 4-ch playback of CD-4 records.
It uses a 4-ch automatic system and automatically switches to CD-4 4-ch playback if the record is a CD-4 record, and to normal stereo playback if it is a 2-ch record.
In addition, since 2-ch records containing signals of 20 kHz or higher are also available, it is possible to switch to 2-ch playback with a manual switch.
It has a 2 ch direct output terminal and can pass through the equalizer circuit by setting the switch of the demodulator to the direct side.
Performance and stability have been enhanced by the use of highly reliable PLL IC, which is also used for NASA space communications, and many ICs, FETs, and semiconductor elements.
