Commentary
This pre-main amplifier was developed based on the concept and technology of cleanly extracting music signals from various disturbance elements and transmitting them to speakers.
The P.S. R. (Pure Signal Receiving) circuit is used for the CD-1 input, and the noise current flowing into the signal board is cut by arranging a differential amplifier, thereby suppressing the servo noise and microcomputer noise from the CD player.
Also, by connecting the CD player and the ground terminal of the AX-990 with the provided ground wire, the noise flowing in the shield wire is bypassed, further improving the sound quality.
Robust chassis construction with H. S. (High Solidity) design to prevent adverse effects of vibration and sound pressure, and protects against minor sound degradation due to part vibration.
The power supply section uses a Clean & Dynamic (C & D) power supply circuit that integrates a large-capacity balanced power transformer with a rectifier circuit directly connected to it.
This reduces the noise component flowing from the AC line and the rectification noise generated between the transformer and diode.
The H. D. (high drivability) Gm circuit is adopted for the output stage, which has enhanced adaptability to low load and dynamic load fluctuations by Gm driver II and parallel PP output.
It is equipped with a unique Gm circuit that controls the volume by changing the amplification degree of the amplifier.
It is designed to be resistant to S/N ratio and external noise because there is no characteristic change due to the volume position and no extra gain.
Uses 4-block construction in which the preamplifier section, control section, power amplifier section, and power supply section are arranged independently.
A total of 8 input terminals including a digital source compatible Route 3 are installed.
Equipped with a line direct switch that supports all inputs.
