Commentary

This pre-main amplifier is not only high power, low distortion rate, and high S/N, but also supports digital audio in a higher dimension by reexamining the interface between the amplifier and peripheral devices and adopting 4-block construction with less mutual interference.

The internal section is divided into four sections : a preamplifier section, a control section, a power amplifier section, and a power supply section. Each section functions without being affected by others, and a 4-block construction is adopted to ensure smooth signal transfer.

The P.S. R. (Pure Signal Receiving) circuit is installed as a digital technology, and a differential amplifier is arranged on two digital source input systems to cancel common-mode noise flowing from the ground line.
In addition, by connecting the ground terminal of the input device with a ground wire, no noise current other than the input signal flows through the signal cable, and the circuit configuration enables more accurate and pure signal delivery.

The source of vibration, such as the power supply and output stage heat sink, is mounted on a 1.6 mm thick damping steel plate.
In addition, H. S. (High Solidity) construction with elaborate vibration countermeasures such as high rigidity of the whole chassis and addition of double structure bottom plate and damping plate eliminates extraneous vibration.

In order to suppress the rectification noise radiated from the connection line between the power transformer and the diode, the rectifier circuit is connected directly to the transformer and is made into one block. In addition, electromagnetic interference to the signal circuit is completely eliminated by shielding the entire power supply in an independent box.
In addition, the power transformer's special balanced winding structure reduces the normal mode noise from the AC power line over a wide band.
In addition, it is a Clean & Dynamic (C & D) power supply with low impedance due to large-capacity capacitors and copper plate earth plates.

The power stage is a parallel P. P. configuration, and it is an H. D. (high drivability) Gm circuit that adopts Gm Driver II that can maintain the required drive voltage regardless of load impedance. The structure is strong against low impedance loads.

All circuits use Victor's original voltage-to-current feedback amplified Gm circuits.
In particular, the Gm volume and Gm selector are very powerful. By changing the amplification of the amplifier itself, the change in sound quality depending on the volume position is minimized.

Equipped with a DC servo type Gm equalizer.
It is a direct circuit without a coupling capacitor, and MC cartridge can also be connected directly.

A total of eight gold-plated terminals including a digital source compatible Route 3 are installed.

Equipped with a 6-position full REC selector.

Equipped with a line direct switch that guides all inputs to the power amplifier along the shortest path.
