VICTOR/JVC Zero-100
¥ 125,000 (1 unit, around 1984)
Commentary
A speaker system with a fine ceramic diaphragm.
Rather than simply removing the super-tweeter from the Zero-1000, all units are newly developed while inheriting the technology.
A 32 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
The diaphragm uses a fine ceramic diaphragm made of aluminum and cone as a base material.
A dome-shaped unit of 6.5 cm for the middle band and 3.0 cm for the high band is adopted.
Fine ceramic dome is adopted for the diaphragm, and the connection between units is improved by the same material.
The enclosure uses a super elliptical baffle made of new UG resin in order to prevent disturbance of frequency characteristics due to diffraction effects.
The baffle has a robust reinforcement rib structure based on modal analysis that provides strength that is nearly impossible with wood materials, and an iron reinforcement bar embedded between the woofer and the skorker attachment.
Careful modal analysis of both baffles and enclosures reduces vibration of the box
Level control is mounted on the side panel.
Uses copper contact constant impedance step switching type with low distortion and little sound quality degradation.
