Commentary
A tall boy type speaker system that employs an oblique cone unit.
A 14.5 cm oblicorn type woofer is installed in the low range.
Aluminum is used for the diaphragm, and the driving point is shifted from the center to an oblique cone to disperse resonance and improve the characteristics in the middle and high range.
Also, the unit used for the low range uses a cone with twice the strength.
Two 14.5 cm oblicorn type units are installed in the middle and low range.
A 1.9 cm hard-domed tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm is made of aluminum and plated with pure gold, and directivity is improved by an edge equalizer, optimized frame shape, and a short horn.
In addition, an internal magnetic circuit using neodymium magnet is adopted for the magnetic circuit.
A unique oblique omni array has been adopted for the unit layout. In addition to the virtual coaxial layout in which tweeters are sandwiched between mid-bus units, the drive shafts of mid-bus units face each other at the closest position to realize more natural characteristics.
The SX-LT55 has an independent cabinet structure for the mid-low and low-frequency ranges, and the tuning frequency of the bass port is staggered to achieve a more dynamic low-frequency playback.
The plate material is 25 mm for the front baffle, 21 mm for the top and bottom sides, and 18 mm for the back side. By dispersing resonance by changing the plate thickness, generation of unnecessary vibration and effect of standing wave are suppressed.
The exterior has a wood-grain glossy paint finish.
