Commentary

20 cm 2-way compound speaker.

It was called 8P-X1 when it was released, but it became EAS-20PX24 when the model name was changed from inches to centimeters.

The woofer part is equipped with 20 cm cone type woofer.
The cone paper has a vertical angle of around 90 ° to prevent distortion caused by split vibration, and a thick cone with a gentle curve is used. This shape provides the greatest rigidity against the bending vibration of the cone.
A conical stiffness is inserted into the connection between the woofer cone and the voice coil to attenuate high frequencies above the crossover frequency.

The tweeter section is equipped with a cone type tweeter.
For the edge of cone paper, lightweight viscoelastic plastic is heat-bonded on both sides to provide damping against higher-order resonance of the edge, and stable characteristics are obtained by heat-bonding.

In order to prevent the deterioration of frequency characteristics when the direct sound from the tweeter and the sound reflected on the cone paper of the woofer are viewed, the tweeter is decentered from the woofer axis, and an elliptical unsymmetrical baffle is attached to the tweeter to improve the characteristics of 3 kHz higher.
Equipped with a 6dB/oct constant resistance network.
