Commentary
A TV/FM/AM tuner with video sound multiplex broadcasting in addition to TV output.
Twin quartz is introduced, and quartz control is introduced in two places of front end part and MPX circuit.
The front end section achieves stable tuning by obtaining an accurate tuning frequency through quartz oscillation, while the MPX circuit achieves high stereo separation and low distortion by introducing quartz control.
A double PLL configuration is adopted in which the second PLL based on the quartz oscillation signal is multiplied by the PLL in the stereo demodulation circuit. The free running frequency of the VCO (voltage controlled oscillator), which fluctuates due to environmental changes such as temperature and humidity, is always accurately locked at 19 kHz.
Because of the unique DC configuration of Technics, broad and flat frequency characteristics are obtained.
The TV tuner section, which can also output video signals, uses a separate carrier system that detects and amplifies the signals separately from the video signals, preventing the mixing of video sync signals and realizing high-quality TV sound reproduction.
SQW video circuit is equipped with an SQW filter with sharp selection characteristics and flat phase characteristics.
Equipped with preset functions for 10 stations each for TV, FM and AM.
It is equipped with a program timer capable of two systems, daily operation and once operation.
Equipped with an auto-IF function, the microcomputer automatically switches between two circuits, a normal circuit that gives the highest priority to sound quality and a super narrow circuit that is resistant to adjacent station interference, according to disturbance and input signal level.
Equipped with auto-scan tuning and auto-memory function.
Equipped with an FM signal strength digital display function and a quartz trek level check function.
