SC-1300
Commentary

As a sister machine of the SC-1300, this stereo system combines Technics technology as a separate stereo.

The SC-1300 uses a multi-amplifier system to improve acoustic characteristics by amplifying the low and mid - to high-frequency ranges with a dedicated power amplifier, while a horn type unit is used for the mid - to high-frequency range to ensure rich musical quality.
In the multi-amplifier system, each amplifier is directly connected to a speaker, so that intermodulation distortion and damping factor can be improved and sound quality degradation can be eliminated.


Receiver section

A quasi complimentary service circuit is adopted for the circuit system of the power amplifier section, and silicon transistors are used on the whole surface to improve mid - and long-range characteristics.
Also, by adopting the ITL-OTL-OCL system, we succeeded in completely connecting the amplifier and speaker directly for the first time as a multi-stereo system. This improves low-frequency distortion and degradation of frequency and damping characteristics caused by the output capacitor.

A newly developed low-noise IC for the technics separation is used in the first stage of the preamplifier section to enable low-noise reproduction.

The preamp section controls the channel level control and listening control.
The listening control can be adjusted in two ways : the damping control (for the low range) and the brilliance control (for the high range). The damping control can control the frequency and damping characteristics of the low range by changing the feedback capacitance of the NF. The brilliance control uses a Darlington circuit with C and R, and acts as a filter to increase the brightness of the high range and to cut out the high range noise caused by the program source.

A 4-pole MOS-type FET is used for the FM tuner, and we have succeeded in greatly improving sensitivity, eliminating image interference, and improving cross-modulation and AGC characteristics (27 patents worldwide and in Japan).
In addition, the 4-stage IF circuit realizes high selectivity.

The FM multiplex circuit uses a switching method.

Equipped with an FM/AM tuning meter.


Player part

A belt drive system is adopted for the player part, and stable rotation is realized by combining with 30 cm aluminum die-cast turntable.
In addition, a pipe arm with an inside four scan seller is used for the tone arm part.

The cartridge is a semiconductor cartridge.


Speaker part

3-way configuration.

The mid-range is equipped with a newly developed multi-cellar horn coker, ensuring high efficiency and excellent transient characteristics.

It has a 20 cm cone woofer in the low range and a 5 cm cone tweeter in the high range.

The enclosure is hermetically sealed.


Other

The speaker section has a height adjustment screw.

There was an interior box as an option sold separately in SC-1300. This interior box was also sold as SC-1300 Deluxe as a set.
The interior box can be used as a record shelf or tape deck storage rack.
