Commentary
The SB-X Series medium-sized speaker system is a bookshelf type with linear phase design.
In order to realize the linear phase theory in the bookshelf type, the SB-X Series uses a conical horn to retract the mid-range and tweeter from the baffle surface.
In addition, the low-frequency band of each unit is smoothly enhanced by this conical horn, and distortion in the low-frequency band is also reduced by suppressing this by the network, and low distortion of the system is realized.
A 20 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit is a wide-area unit whose high-frequency range extends up to 5 kHz and has a high input resistance design with a heat-resistant temperature of 200 ℃.
The mid-range has a 9 cm cone type mid-range.
In addition to reducing distortion by adopting a conical horn, linearity at large amplitude is improved by taking into consideration the shape and material of the edge and the material of the damper.
A 2.5 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm uses an ultra-thin 15 μ m titanium diaphragm for high-frequency and wide-band characteristics. The ultra-thin film also adds soft dome-like properties to the meta Le Dome, enabling playback sound with good start-up while suppressing peak generation.
