Commentary
A bookshelf type compact speaker system for the SB-X Series with linear phase design.
In order to realize linear phase theory in the bookshelf type, the SB-X Series uses a conical horn, and the tweeter is retracted from the baffle surface.
In addition, this conical horn smoothly enhances the low range of the tweeter, and the distortion in the low range is also reduced by suppressing the k-wave with the network, which realizes low distortion of the system.
A 10 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
A 1.3 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm uses an ultra-thin 15 μ m titanium diaphragm for high-frequency and wide-band characteristics. The ultra-thin film also adds soft dome-like properties to the meta Le Dome, enabling playback sound with good start-up while suppressing peak generation.
In addition, the voice coil is heat-resistant and uses an aluminum bobbin that conducts heat well.
Voice coil of each unit Polyamide with excellent heat resistance is used for the adhesive layer, and polyester is used for the insulating layer. As a result, heat resistant temperature of 180 ° C to 200 ° C is obtained, and high input resistance design is realized.
