Commentary

A 2-way speaker system that uses TMD (Technics Monocoque Diaphragm).

A 18 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit uses a composite mica diaphragm. Mica is the main component of the diaphragm material with light weight, high rigidity and high internal loss. Natural pulp and self-adhesive novolac fiber are mixed to increase the high-frequency reproduction limit. In addition, TMD (Technics Monocoque Diagram) is used for the diaphragm structure. The cone part and center cap part, which were separate pieces in the conventional cone type, are integrated. In addition, the rigidity is dramatically improved by adopting a unique shape selected from computer simulation. As a result, coupled with the node drive by the coupling cone, the piston motion range is expanded to twice that of the conventional cone type.
The magnetic circuit uses a dual magnet combining a main magnet with an outer diameter of 80 mm and a sub magnet with an outer diameter of 75 mm. In addition, by covering it with a shield cover, the magnetic flux density is increased and the leakage flux to the outside is blocked.

A 2.5 cm dome type tweeter made of pure mica is mounted in the high range.
By using pure mica for the diaphragm, it is possible to make a sound that is well connected to the woofer. In addition, since mica has a high internal loss, it is possible to reduce the inherent squeal that occurs with other metal diaphragms, and it is possible to realize a transparent high sound. In addition, the equalizer on the front of the diaphragm is eliminated to improve the quality of the high-frequency omission.
The magnetic circuit uses a dual magnet structure to realize a strong driving force and anti-magnetic design.

The network section uses low-distortion choke coils dedicated for audio, electrolytic capacitors for low-loss audio, and internal wiring using oxygen-free copper. The network elements are directly twisted and connected to each other for higher sound quality.

The enclosure is a cross-bridged enclosure whose strength is improved by dividing the center with a single board. In addition, high-density particle board is used for the cabinet material, and wood with excellent acoustic characteristics is used for all materials to give a natural sound.
The flon and baffle have rounded corners to reduce distortion of sound image orientation caused by diffraction of sound waves at the corners.
