SB-M500M2
Commentary

A toll-boy speaker system using the DDD method.

DDD (Dual Dynamic Drive) system is adopted for the low frequency range. By driving in phase with two Kelton type woofers equipped with passive radiators facing backward, cabinet vibration in the low frequency range is greatly reduced, and accurate low frequency characteristics and excellent sound image localization are realized.
The SB-M500M2 uses a 14 cm drive speaker and an 18 cm square passive radiator.

14 cm cone type mid-range is mounted in the mid-range.
The diaphragm is a mica-composite ingrained cone diaphragm containing 40% by weight of carefully selected micas. The damper uses linear dynamic suspension to drive lightweight and highly rigid diaphragms with good linearity.

A 2.5 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
A proprietary pure mica diaphragm is used for the diaphragm, and the high-frequency reproduction response of up to 70 kHz (-16dB) is ensured by revising the design of the new equalizer shape and other factors.

The enclosure uses a 19 mm thick MDF shell plate to reduce unwanted vibration.
In addition, a convex pin type is adopted for the net catch to reduce incidental sound caused by cavity resonance and reflection.

Uses gold-plated speaker terminals that can be connected to extremely thick cords and 4 mm plugs.
