Commentary

A floor-type speaker system using the DDD method.

In DDD (Dual Dynamic Drive), dynamic drive speakers consisting of a drive unit and a passive radiator are arranged in the front-back direction, and the reaction greatly reduces vibration of the enclosure and realizes excellent low-range reproduction.
The SB-M1000 is equipped with four 14 cm cone drive units and four 18 cm square passive radiators. By placing DDD on top and bottom, it enables low-frequency playback comparable to a 36 cm woofer 4-way system.

It is equipped with 14 cm cone type mid-low for middle and low range.
This unit uses a composite mica cone made of a mixture of pulp and mica. The large specific elastic modulus and high internal loss suppresses the natural resonance of the material and enhances the high-frequency reproduction capability.
In addition, a newly developed dynamic linear suspension is adopted for the damper. By changing the corrugation height of the damper between the inner and outer parts, the overall displacement is made uniform and the strength is increased and the linearity is greatly improved.

Equipped with 8 cm cone type mid-high for middle and high range.
This unit uses composite mica cone as well as mid-low.

A 2.5 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm uses a dome-shaped super-graphite structure that realizes a large-area graphite structure. This material is made by a special manufacturing method in which a polyimide film is fired in an inert gas at a high temperature of nearly 3000 degrees. It has a high specific elastic modulus, high internal loss, and high sound velocity.

The enclosure has a structure that separates the mid-range and high-range baffle and low-range cabinet to reduce the occurrence of mutual interference, and MDF with less noise is used for the baffle plate and body plate.

It uses a gold plated speaker terminal that can connect extremely thick cords and 4 mm plugs.

Uses an anti-magnetic design.
