Commentary
A speaker system slightly larger than 30 cmLP with a linear phase design.
A 16 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit uses a conical Seamed cone made of special paper with high rigidity and high internal loss to increase the high-frequency reproduction limit and realize smooth characteristics. In addition, it uses low-strain urethane foam with no directional edges and good linearity to prevent edge resonance.
In addition, the SB-F3 uses a center cap made of 100 μ - thick aluminum foil to smooth the high-frequency characteristics, and a magnetic circuit with a magnetic flux density of 10,600 gauss.
A horn type tweeter newly developed for the F series based on the tweeter unit 5HH17 is mounted in the high range.
This horn has a complex shape with an exponential throat, a conical opening, and a special curve in the middle. It has not only smooth directional characteristics but also smooth high-frequency characteristics. It also has a linear phase design that aligns the sound center with the woofer. This horn also smoothly raises the low range of the tweeter the tweeter and suppresses it with the network to reduce distortion in the low-frequency range.
In order to prevent the voice coil from breaking due to excessive input, the voice coil of each unit uses an adhesive layer of polyamide with excellent heat resistance and an insulating layer of polyester. Together with an aluminum foil bobbin with high thermal conductivity, it improves input resistance.
A resettable thermal relay protection circuit is installed to protect the unit from excessive input and abnormal signals.
An aluminum die-cast enclosure is used.
There are 2 color variations of silver and black.
It comes with wall metal fittings and can be attached by setting wall metal fittings to walls or pillars.
