This 4-way linear phase speaker system was completed by refining the know-how accumulated in the SB-10000.

A 38 cm cone type woofer is used for the low range.
The piston motion range is expanded by adopting a high-rigidity straight cone mainly composed of softwood pulp.
In addition, a high-hardness rubber ring is attached to the 75 mm large-diameter voice coil to brake the resonance of the voice coil itself, and the joint with the cone paper is also reinforced to suppress peaks that tend to occur in the high-frequency range.

A 25 cm cone type unit is used for the middle and low frequency band, which was developed considering the smooth connection with the horn type unit.
A high efficiency of 97dB/W/m is achieved by using a lightweight cone with a simple composition and an edgewise voice coil. In addition, the cone shape extends the playback high-range limit as a curved cone.

A tapered flare radial horn unit that opens at a wide opening angle of 150 ° is adopted for the middle and high range, and along with the tweeter, it realizes excellent directional characteristics as a horn speaker.
In addition, it is a cascade type in which a throat section with different cut-off frequency is provided between the high-precision 5-slit equalizer and the horn section to flatten the energy characteristics.
The driver section drives a 60 mm diameter, 30 μ m thick titanium diamond wheel with a magnetic circuit with a magnetic flux density of 19000 Gauss.
The voice coil uses CCAW for a high heat-resistant design.
