Commentary
A 2-way speaker system that inherits the development design policy of Technics7 (SB 7000).
A 30 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit uses cone paper mixed with aramid fiber and expands the piston motion range to reduce distortion in the mid - and high-frequency range.
A 3.2 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm has a low-strain design based on silk cloth and heat-molded urethane foam. In addition, a diffraction equalizer utilizing the reflection and diffraction of sound waves is installed to flatten the sound pressure frequency characteristics in the high-frequency range.
The network section employs a filter-2 circuit that combines -12dB/oct. for the woofer and an inductive m-type and -12dB/oct. for the tweeter to flatten sound pressure frequency characteristics and phase frequency characteristics.
The horizontal directional characteristics are improved by the layout in which each unit is arranged in a vertical line, and the vertical directional characteristics are also improved by making each unit as close as possible.
The internal structure of the enclosure adopts the dumped bass reflex method and uses a slit type bass reflex port.
