Commentary

An analog player announced as a limited model of the SL 1200 series.

The rotating part of the motor and the turntable are integrated, and the fixed part is integrated with an aluminum die-cast cabinet. The unique structure of the DD motor is adopted. This motor uses an all-round integration type FG, enabling highly accurate signal detection by detecting the exact rotation all around. In addition, the turntable can be rotated at a constant speed at 0.7 seconds (33 1/3rpm) with a high power starting torque of 1.5 kg ・ cm.
In addition, a purely electronic brake is used for the stop mechanism, so that the brake can be applied quickly with one touch and released as soon as it stops.

It is equipped with a continuously variable pitch control mechanism using a quartz synthesizer system for rotation control, and it is possible to continuously control the pitch by ± 8% with the slide lever while maintaining the accurate rotation.
In the SL-1200LTD, a pitch ON/OFF switch has been added, and it can return to ± 0% constant speed rotation with one touch.

Equipped with a strobe illuminator synchronized with a quartz lock, the rotation pitch can be checked with a strobe engraved on the side of the turntable. The strobe shows + / - 6%, + / -3.3%, + / - 0%, -3.3% when the dot appears stationary.

The cabinet has a three layer structure with aluminum die-cast on top, molded special heavyweight rubber on bottom, and TNRC (Technics Non-Resonance Compound) inside. デッドニングゴム is attached to the back of the turntable to improve vibration resistance.
In addition, four large-size insulators with adjustable height reduce external vibration.

The SL 1200 LTD uses a precision die-cast tone arm with 24 gold gold plating to reduce the influence of external vibration and partial resonance.
In addition, the bearing structure adopts a gimbal suspension combining four bearings with a high-precision pivot and a precision polishing ball bearing, and the center of rotation of the tone arm is made clear as a single rotation where the vertical rotation axis and the horizontal rotation axis intersect. By this, excellent initial motion sensitivity of less than 7 mg is obtained for the same rotation in all directions.

Equipped with arm height adjustment mechanism with lock mechanism, fine adjustment within 6 mm range is possible by height adjustment ring of precision helicoid finish, and vertical tracking error is reduced.

Equipped with a pop-up stylus illumination.

A very thick power cord is used.

The serial number is engraved on the logo plate of the top plate.
