Commentary
This player system combines the separately sold turntable SP-15, turntable base SH-15B1, and system tone arm EPA-500.
SP-15
SP-15 using quartz synthesizer system of turntable is adopted.
The drive motor is an integrated D. D. motor that integrates a motor and turntable. By combining it with electronic circuit technology, it achieves a starting torque of 3 kg ・ cm. As a result, it boasts excellent load characteristics with a rotational deviation of 0% up to a 500g needle pressure. In addition, by using an all-around detection FG in the servo circuit, it achieves higher rotational speed accuracy.
In addition, the SL-1015 uses a quartz synthesizer type pitch control, which enables ± 9.9% pitch control in 0.1% steps and LED display.
The turntable's brake mechanism employs a double brake system that combines an electronic brake and a mechanical brake, enabling a smooth and quick stop.
In the turntable, stability and reliability have been greatly improved by integrating electronic circuits with more than 3000 elements into four ICs.
A highly efficient pulse power supply circuit is used for the power supply.
A large 33.9 cm aluminum die-cast turntable is used.
Based on an analysis of the vibration mode of the turntable and an analysis of vibration under a sound field, the back and outer surfaces of the turntable are deadened with a special viscoelastic material. In addition, by adopting a triple deadening structure in which a rubber sheet on the top surface of the turntable is inserted into the turntable, resonance of the turntable is suppressed and the influence of external vibration is eliminated.
EPA-500
The tone arm section uses EPA 500, a unit arm replacement system that can determine the optimum arm according to cartridge compliance.
The built-in unit arm EPA-A501H is for high compliance, and EPA-A501M for medium compliance and EPA-A501L for low compliance were sold separately.
A dynamic damping mechanism is adopted in the balance weight section, and the low-frequency resonance Q is braked by more than 6 dB compared to the normal arm.
The arm pipe is made of titanium nitride (TiN), which is made by hardening titanium, which is lightweight and mechanically strong, with nitrogen. Compared to conventional aluminum pipes, the weight is reduced by 85% and the mechanical strength is increased by 1.6 times.
High-sensitivity gimbal suspension bearing structure is used in the bearing section.
This system is a 4-point support system using a high-precision pivot ball bearing. Both horizontal and vertical axes of the rotating shaft intersect at a single point, thus achieving an initial motion sensitivity of 7 mg for both horizontal and vertical axes.
Moreover, external vibration is controlled by supporting this bearing structure with a precision zinc die-cast base.
The arm unit and arm base are connected by a self-cleaning slide system with a gold-plated connector.
It is equipped with a helichigh-sensitivity tone arm height adjustment mechanism (20 mm).
The output cord has both low capacitance (41.5pF/m) and low DC resistance (39.5m Ω / m).
SH-15B1
The cabinet uses a turntable base SH-15B1 with a thorough anti-vibration structure.
For the SH-15B1, the cabinet is integrally molded using special rubber with a large vibration damping rate and excellent vibration damping characteristics, and all main parts such as the turntable and arm panel are isolated by viscoelastic material to realize excellent vibration damping effect.
In addition, the dust cover is also directly connected to the viscoelastic agent via the hinge and support metal fittings, so that the dust cover is also vibration-proof.

Needle pressure meter SH-50P1 is attached.
This needle pressure gauge is an electronic type with high sensitivity using piezoresistance effect, and is designed to be easy to use with 0 point adjustment and gain adjustment.
