SL-10
Commentary

This is a full auto player that was developed by putting Technics player technology into a record jacket size of 31.5 cm width and depth.

The tone arm uses a linear tracking tone arm.
In the linear tracking arm, a DC motor with high rotational accuracy is used for arm travel, which is controlled by a microcomputer. In addition, by adopting a slide bearing with a small friction coefficient, quiet and highly accurate arm travel without unnecessary vibration is realized compared to methods using ball bearings and rollers for arm movement.
An original optical sensor (optical non-contact type) is used for arm deflection angle detection, and detection at the tip of the arm enables more accurate control than detection at the bearing.

A 4-point support gimbal suspension structure with a pivot ball bearing is used for the bearing section. The ideal structure in which the tone arm moves around a clear point realizes the same high sensitivity in all directions.
In addition, by adopting a unique dynamic balance system, strict horizontal adjustment of the cabinet is not required, and by using a stabilizer together, stable record performance at all angles is possible.

The turntable drive unit adopts a unique integrated structure D. D. that integrates the motor rotor and turntable, and pursues mechanical accuracy. In addition, high-precision rotational performance is achieved by adopting quartz control and full circumference detection F. G.

Equipped with a microcomputer controlled full-auto mechanism that consolidates all operations into four buttons. This allows the number of revolutions to be automatically set according to the record size just by setting the record and pressing the start button.
In addition, the number of revolutions can be manually switched in order to support records of special number of revolutions.

The arm part is designed to automatically return to the arm rest after the performance.
Also, even during the performance, when the upper cabinet is opened, it returns to the armrest.

The 310 mc MC-type cartridge is used.
This cartridge is based on the Technics305MC and originated in Shinkai for the SL-10. By adopting a pure coil without an iron core, a coreless twin ring coil structure, and a pure boron pipe cantilever, this cartridge realizes a light oscillator effective mass of 0.23 mg and enables wide-band reproduction.
In addition, a unique plug-in connector method is adopted for the connection with the arm, and it can be connected simply by directly inserting into the tone arm or by fastening with a screw. There is no need to adjust the needle pressure, etc.

Built-in MC pre-preamp of low noise design.
The rear bypass switch allows switching between MM and MC.

It is equipped with a muting function using a relay and delay circuit, eliminating noise at the moment when the needle tip touches and leaves the record.

Both the upper and lower cabinets are made of precision die-cast aluminum, and combined with the compact design that is less susceptible to sound pressure, the howling resistance is improved.
In addition, the back of the turntable is deadened with rubber to ensure no vibration and no resonance.

The power supply uses AC/DC2 power supply system and can be battery powered in addition to AC power supply.

An adapter for a doughnut board is built in around the center spindle.
When using LP records, it can be stored in the turntable, and when using EP records, it can be easily popped up.

Separately sold player stand can be used.
