Commentary
Stereo cassette deck with the same slim design as RS-M85.
The RS-M75 has a configuration in which the quartz lock is omitted from the capstan drive motor of the RS-M85 and cannot be operated with a remote controller.
A flat-faced D. D motor developed by Technics is used to drive the capstan.
The D. D motor is a brushless, slotless type motor. Its structural feature is that the rotor (magnet) faces the stator (coil) in a plane. The permanent magnet rotor integrated with the flywheel rotates while being attracted to the stator side, reducing backlash in the thrust direction. In addition, the diameter of the motor is compressed to make it slimmer. However, by controlling the control circuit with the IC, the motor achieves more effects than a large flywheel.
The servo circuit uses a frequency generator (FG) to control speed and phase.
A newly developed coreless motor is used to drive the reel.
This motor has ideal conditions for reel drive such as no cogging, extremely smooth rotation, quick start-up, and excellent control characteristics. This improves tape speed fluctuation and wow flutter characteristics.
A purely electronic circuit based on IC logic using digital technology is used to control the mechanism.
The control circuit consists of a newly developed IC (I2L ICAN 6251), enabling direct switching from FF or REW to PLAY.
The SX Sendust Head, a laminate type newly developed from the element, is used for the read / write head.
The SX sendust head has excellent frequency characteristics and strain characteristics, and has a life equivalent to that of a ferrite head.
The tape selector can switch the bias / equalizer for each tape to three levels : CrO2, ex, and normal.
In addition, it is equipped with a bias fine adjustment knob, and can be adjusted within approximately ± 15% of each reference value.
Equipped with a digital FL display.
Equipped with Dolby NR system with built-in MPX filter.
It is equipped with a Rec mute mechanism that can cut part of the content during recording.
Equipped with a timer standby mechanism.
Equipped with output volume, memory rewind mechanism, full auto-stop mechanism, illuminated tape counter, etc.
