Commentary

This is a stereo cassette deck developed based on a new concept called Softom.

The capstan drive motor employs a unique flat-faced direct drive motor that rotates with the rotor and stator facing forward and backward. Excellent rotational accuracy is achieved by controlling this motor with the all-round integration type digital FG servo.
The reel drive motor uses a newly developed softom reel driver with a DC-motor equipped with a magnetic friction mechanism, enabling smooth and quick operation.

The control section uses an IC logic control system with pure electronic control, and the switches use feather-touch keyboard switches with 0.8 mm stroke and 70g pressure.
By adopting logic control, direct change from ff/rew to play is possible.

The read / write head uses an SX sendust head with excellent permeability and frequency characteristics.
In addition, a double-gap Sendust ferrite head is used for the erasing head.

A recording amplifier with a low-noise and high-linearity design is used to support metal tapes.

Equipped with a 4-position tape selector.

Equipped with an 18-segment type 2-color FL display that displays -20dB to + 8 db in real time.
This display is equipped with an auto-reset peak hold function, and a memory circuit can hold the peak level for approximately two seconds.

Equipped with a timer standby mechanism for intermittent recording, a rec mute mechanism, a Dolby NR circuit and an input selector.
These switches are also equipped with lightweight push switches.

An oil dump type is used for the tape ejection mechanism.

It has a high-gain headphone amplifier.

Equipped with an output volume that can be used as a headphone volume.

You can operate from a remote location with the optional wired remote control.
