Commentary
Stereo cassette deck equipped with dbx.
Dbx is installed as a noise reduction system.
In order to faithfully record the dynamic range of music over 100 dB to tape, dbx records music with 1 / 2 compression level. During playback, the level is expanded to restore the original level. This reduces noise by more than 30 dB over the entire audio band and achieves a recording saturation level of + 20 dB. This makes it possible to record and play back high-quality sound.
The selector also has a dbx disk position to accommodate the decoding of dbx-encoded records.
A 49 mm diameter flat-faced DD motor is used for the capstan drive motor and a dedicated DC motor is used for reel drive.
In addition, high tape running performance is achieved by precise control using a digital FG servo system.
An SX Sendust head has been adopted for the recording / reproducing head.
In this head, the Sendust is finely chopped using precision processing technology, and the magnetic force is increased by using a laminated structure.
Equipped with a 2-color FL display with peak hold, the peak level can be displayed continuously for 2 seconds.
IC logic control is used in the operation part.
