Commentary

A cassette deck equipped with dbx noise reduction in addition to the mechanism control by microcomputer.

A dbx NR system is installed as a noise reduction system.
The dbx system expands the dynamic range of normal cassette tapes to 110 dB by electrically compressing the recording level to one half, expanding it twice during playback, and expanding the level.
The dbx system achieves a noise reduction effect of more than 30 dB over the entire audio band from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and at the same time reduces the amount of ground generated by the driving system. In addition, the saturation level of the dbx system is improved by more than 10 dB than that of the normal system, and even the powerful + 20 dB music signal can be recorded with more fidelity.
In addition, we have solved the problem of the cassette in which the high-frequency characteristics deteriorate as the high-level input becomes higher. We have improved the characteristics by more than 14 dB around 8 kHz at + 10 dB.

You can also play dbx Encoded Disc by switching the Noise Reduction Selector.
Also, it is possible to record and replay in Dolby NR by switching the selector.

It is equipped with a 3-color FL display of -40dB to + 18 dB corresponding to dbx. When the noise reduction selector is set to the dbx position, + 8 dB or more turns red.
Also equipped with an auto reset peak hold function.

The read / write head is equipped with an MX head with excellent frequency characteristics, and the erase head is equipped with a double-gap ferrite head with high erase efficiency.

The amplifier circuit is equipped with a high-gain amplifier for exclusive use for headphones, and you can monitor using headphones.

20 songs can be skipped and selected.

Three types of memory repeats are available : from the beginning to the end of the tape, from the beginning to an arbitrary 000 position, and from an arbitrary 000 position to the end.

It is equipped with a 4-way digital counter. By operating the counter mode selector button on the front panel, it displays the remaining tape real time, rec mute elapsed time, 3-digit tape count, and jump instruction music.

The mechanism section employs a 2-motor system that employs an electronically controlled DC motor for the capstan and a DC motor for the reel.

The control section uses a computer logic system based on a microprocessor for precise control of the mechanism. Direct switching from ff/rew to play is also possible.

Equipped with an auto tape selector, it detects the tape type detection hole on the back side of the cassette half and automatically sets the proper position. The selected position is indicated by an indicator.

Equipped with an auto input selector that automatically switches to microphone input when the microphone plug is turned on.

Equipped with timer recording / replay mechanism, reservation recording / replay is possible by connecting a separately sold timer.

It is equipped with functions such as rec pause, rec mute, output volume, and soft eject.
