Commentary
This is a stereo cassette deck developed based on a new concept called Softom.
A newly developed software drive mechanism is adopted.
In this mechanism, the holding operation of the head block and switching of the reel drive are performed by utilizing the rotational force of the motor, and stable head touch and smooth tape travel are realized.
An electronically controlled DC motor is used as the drive motor.
The operation part adopts a soft push operation method of about 200 ~ 400g of press.
In addition, the recording operation and timer standby set use a one button system to improve operability.
An MX head is used for recording and re-recording.
Equipped with rewind autoplay and cue & review mechanism.
The level meter uses an 18-segment type peak hold FL display.
This meter has a built-in auto-reset peak hold function to make it easy to check the peak level.
A push switch is used for functions such as the Rec Mute mechanism and the Dolby NR circuit.
The tape eject mechanism uses an oil dump type soft eject, and the front panel uses a see-through panel to check the operation of the head.
A recording amplifier with low noise and high linearity design is adopted to support metal tape.
Equipped with a 4-position tape selector that also supports metal tapes.
The optional wired remote control allows you to pause or re-mute remotely.
