Equipped with advanced A. T. C. (auto keep calibration) developed to draw out the potential of each cassette tape with different sensitivity and frequency characteristics depending on the manufacturer and type. The characteristics of the tape to be used are detected at 4 points of 400 Hz, 5 kHz, 10 kHz and 15 kHz, and by fine adjustment of 64 steps according to the result, L/R independent correction of recording sensitivity difference and characteristic difference of the high sound range is made.
The equalizer and level adjustment are also set automatically.

The recording bias can be selected in three levels : Low, Standard, and High.

By adopting a digital servo Quartz D. D. motor, the capstan motor with strong torque enables tape travel at extremely accurate speed. The servo operates by directly comparing the F. G. pulse generated by the motor circuit with the reference clock generated by the quartz oscillation digitally, ensuring stable rotational speed from the beginning of winding to the end of winding. The fast-forward / rewind time has also been reduced.

A closed-loop dual capstan system is adopted. The tape travel system is composed of two sets of capstan and pinch rollers centered on the head. The tape tension is maintained appropriately, modulation noise is greatly reduced, and tape travel is stabilized.

Uses T. H. C. B. with a hard rubber base sandwiched between steel plates to suppress vibration from the outside. This realizes high vibration damping characteristics.

The special motor securely holds the high-rigidity cassette holder with glass fiber in the fixed position of the mechanism. In addition, the cassette half stabilizer presses the half from above, minimizing the vibration of the half itself and the generation of modulation noise caused by tape running.

Equipped with an auto lead-in function that loads automatically when the tape is inserted into the cassette holder.

A recording amplifier is composed of a voltage control amplifier and a current supply amplifier. The signal magnetic field generated by the head remains as the output signal of the voltage control lamp in both gain and phase, improving the waveform response of the magnetic field.

Uses a high hardness permalloy head with PC-OCC winding.

Equipped with the Dolby HX-PRO that controls the effective bias appropriately according to the input of the high-frequency signal during recording.

Equipped with Dolby B/C 2 nr which reduces the hissing of the tape and can record / reproduce clear sound.

Built-in Memory Stop / Memory Repeat

Equipped with MPX filter ON/OFF switch.
