A three head cassette deck equipped with linear magnefield class AA.

A newly developed direct drive mechanism is adopted for the mechanism part.
The drive motor of this mechanism employs a D. D. motor with digital servo control. By directly comparing the FG pulse generated by the motor circuit with the reference clock generated by quartz oscillation, the rotational accuracy of the motor is made equal to the clock oscillation accuracy, and accurate rotation is achieved.
In addition, the motor is designed to obtain torque approximately three times that of conventional motors, so that accurate tape speed with sufficient margin can be obtained. Moreover, by adopting the direct drive method, rotating parts on the tape travel mechanism are eliminated, modulation noise is eliminated, and aging degradation due to parts such as belts is reduced.

The rotor (flywheel) of the DD motor is made of zinc die-cast. The dynamic balance of each rotor is adjusted and torque ripple is suppressed by high-precision machining. In addition, the control circuit and drive coil are integrated on the same board and mounted inside the flywheel receiving plate. The receiving plate performs a shielding effect to prevent the entry of external noise and the generation of unnecessary noise.

The chassis uses the TNRC base used in CD players, etc. to reduce sound pressure and vibration transmitted from speakers.

Equipped with cassette half power assist loading mechanism and cassette half stabilizer.
In the power assist loading mechanism, a special motor drives the cam to firmly position the high-rigidity cassette holder containing glass fiber in the fixed position of the mechanism. In addition, the cassette half stabilizer holds the half from above to minimize vibration of the half itself caused by tape running.

Linear magnefield class AA is used for the recording amplifier section.
In this method, the voltage control amplifier has an equalizer element in the feedback circuit and outputs a voltage with the recording equalizer characteristics. Then, the current supply amplifier converts this voltage output into a current and supplies a current proportional to the voltage to the head. As a result, the signal magnetic field generated in the head remains the output signal of the voltage control amplifier in both gain and phase, greatly improving the waveform response of the magnetic field.

It is equipped with APRS which can accurately set the recording level of digital source.
With APRS, when a signal is input in the recording pause state and the APRS button is turned ON, the maximum signal level input after that time can be held and displayed on the meter. Then, simply move the Rec Level knob to move the hold display on the meter to match and set the recording level to an appropriate level.

It is equipped with a level meter with range switching function, and 1 dB step display is also possible by switching the switch.
