Commentary
A 3-head cassette deck equipped with Dolby HX-PRO.
In order to improve the accuracy of tape travel, a newly developed integrated mechanical base using precision die-casting has been adopted.
In this mechanism, the capstan, pinch roller, head block, cassette half guide pin, etc. are integrated with high precision to realize excellent running performance. Combined with the effect of the brass scraping flywheel with large inertial mass, excellent characteristics against modulation noise, etc. are obtained.
In addition, the closed-loop dual-capstan system, which consists of two capstan and pinch rollers, ensures excellent head touch, reducing modulation noise and suppressing disturbance that occurs at half and other locations.
The Dolby HX-PRO system is installed to improve the recording quality of high-frequency sources such as CDs.
The Dolby HX-PRO monitors fluctuations in the input signal during recording. When a high-level high-frequency signal is received, the effective bias is adjusted appropriately according to the amount of the high-level high-frequency signal, thereby improving the high-frequency characteristics and reducing distortion in the entire audio global.
Because the Dolby HX-PRO system improves recording quality, it is compatible with any cassette deck. Tapes recorded with the Dolby HX-PRO can be played back with high quality sound on other decks.
A classAA circuit is used for the recording equalizer amplifier that supplies recording current to the head.
In the classAA circuit, the waveform is determined by a voltage-controlled amplifier that is not affected by load fluctuations. Therefore, a recording equalizer amplifier with excellent waveform response is realized.
