Commentary
A cassette deck that can be operated from the front.
The mechanism uses an orthodox 1-motor belt drive system, and the motor uses a DC motor with electronic speed control.
In order to protect the tape, it is designed so that it cannot be moved directly from quick winding of FF or REW to PLAY. In addition, PAUSE uses a lock type.
An autostop is applied at the end of the tape, and the mechanism is completely released.
The LH head developed by Technics is used for the recording / reproducing head. This head has about 10 times the life of the conventional Permalloy head, and is compatible with chrome tape.
The erasing head is a double-field type with a full-surface ferrite structure with chromium tape measures.
The Head cover is detachable and easy to maintain.
Electrical circuits are designed with an emphasis on linearity, low distortion factor and low noise.
A high-gain, low-noise type transistor (2SC1327) is used in the first stage of the amplifier, a ripple filter is used in the power supply, and an orient-core shield is applied to the power transformer to stabilize the amplifier and improve the SN ratio.
A lap coil is inserted into the microphone and head amplifiers to suppress the influence of via Threec.
The oscillation circuit adopts a single system using 2SC1449 and the oscillation frequency is 80 kHz.
The oscillation coil is a sealed type with a shield case.
Equipped with Dolby NR as a noise reduction system.
The tape selector is a two stage switching type of normal and CrO2, and the sound quality is improved by adopting a Shinjo number of 70 μ S for chrome tape.
The recording level can be adjusted by using a 2-channel main volume system with a large knob for easy balance between the left and right channels. In addition, an independent balance volume can be used to adjust the balance between channels.
