Commentary
DVD audio / video player capable of 192kHz/24bit.
54MHz/12bit video DAC is adopted for video DAC.
The 54 MHz processing eliminates folding noise and reproduces the horizontal direction of the screen with twice the precision of the conventional 27 MHz. The 12 bit processing expresses the brightness gradation with 4 times the precision compared to the conventional method, and with 8 times the density, it enables faithful reproduction of even minute signals.
It uses a progressive video processor, and the digital video signal sent from the MPEG decoder is progressively converted with a dedicated chip.
It achieves high-precision progressive video output via 54 MHz / 12-bit DAC by performing appropriate conversion according to video material such as movie film and video material.
Uses MPEG DNR (Dynamic Noise Reduction).
Block noise reduction, mosquito noise reduction, and three dimensional noise reduction are used to detect and remove noise specific to MPEG compression.
It supports 3 types of progressive conversion, and detects 3 types of video software (24p for video film material, 60i for normal video image, and 30p in addition to video software) and performs progressive conversion (transfer mode).
Equipped with an aspect ratio conversion function, when connected to a 16 : 9 aspect ratio TV, the DVD-RP91 converts the image to an appropriate screen ratio and displays it.
Features include adaptive edge control, horizontal (two area) and vertical sharpness, and gamma correction.
The audio section has a built-in Dolby Digital / DTS decoder that supports 5.1 channel playback.
A 192 kHz / 24-bit audio DAC is used in the D/A converter for DVD audio playback.
It also supports up to six channels of 96 kHz / 24-bit multi-channel sound.
It is equipped with a remastering function, and by remastering the digital signal of 44.1kHz/16bit of CD with our own advanced digital complementary technology, it can reproduce the ultra-high frequency range close to the natural sound exceeding 20 kHz, and can express rich natural air and afterglow.
This function has three modes for selecting the optimum effect depending on the music source. You can also activate the remaster effect by default for digital output to an external DAC.
The power supply section uses a virtual battery operation power source.
It has an audio-only function to turn off the video signal.
Equipped with digital output off function.
Audio and video independent pure clock system is used for shearing.
CD jitter-free playback.
Soft switching system power supply circuit is adopted.
You can play DVD-RAM discs (discs recorded in the Ver1.1 video recording standard) recorded with a DVD recorder or DVD camcorder.
It is also equipped with a program navigation function so that you can view a list of programs recorded on a DVD-RAM disc and play back the programs you want to see. You can also play back playlists.
