Pre-main amplifier equipped with D/A converter.
The D/A conversion section uses a 4-DAC 18-bit conversion system.
In the 4DAC 18-bit conversion system, two D/A converters are installed in each L/R channel to process the + and - components of the input signal independently. A total of four D/A converters are used in the 4DAC conversion system. In this circuit, first of all, a newly developed 4 DAC processor LSI distinguishes between + and - signals from the input digital signal, and high-speed processing is performed by switching two D/A converters. This realizes D/A conversion without 0 cross distortion in principle.
In addition, the D/A converter achieves 18-bit operation at an average music level of -12dB or less by using a 4 DAC processor LSI. This, combined with the use of a 4 x oversampling 18-bit digital filter, provides more faithful analog waveform reproduction capability.
Three sampling frequencies, 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, are available for use with CD players, DAT and BS tuners.
The digital input is equipped with a Route 3 of two optical systems and one coaxial system.
The power amplifier section is equipped with a VC-4 amplifier (Voltage Current4 amplifier system) classAA amplifier.
In this circuit system, voltage control and current drive are received by separate amplifiers for each L/R channel, and voltage control which is very faithful to the input signal and sufficient current supply for speaker drive are made compatible.
The power supply section is equipped with one 300 VA power transformer on each side, which realizes excellent regulation by high-density and high-efficiency technology based on the perfectly aligned winding method. In addition, the electrolytic capacitor for the power supply is equipped with a newly developed Hi-Speed EX Capacitor, four each of Lch and Rch, for a total of eight (total capacity 65,600 μ F). In addition to the use of the Technics traditional plug-in power block, it enables high-quality regeneration.
Equipped with power amplifier direct function.
With this function, the direct input signal of the power amplifier and the output signal of the built-in D/A converter are directly input to the power amplifier via only the classAA buffer and the input volume of the power amplifier. This simple signal path enables purer amplification.
A P. C. L. low-impedance volume is used for the input volume of the power amplifier, and an SN ratio improvement effect of approximately 10 dB is obtained.
The power amplifier section has a twin monaural configuration with independent L/R and is separated into left and right. Furthermore, the preamp section and digital section have a T-shaped configuration with a tight shield to reduce L/R interference caused by electromagnetic waves from the high current of the power amplifier section.
An active servo power supply is used for the preamplifier power supply section.
A feedback circuit is formed by combining a constant-voltage IC dedicated to the power supply with excellent temperature stability and a wide-band IC with excellent high-frequency characteristics. This realizes regulation superior to car batteries and low-noise characteristics over a wide frequency range.
To ensure a high sound quality design, we use carefully selected audio-only parts such as EX high-speed electrolytic capacitors and high-purity OCC and OFC wires from the internal wiring to the lead wires of each part.
On top of an insulator composed of two materials with different compliance, a BMC (Bulk Mold Compound) base is adopted, and on top of that, a high-rigidity chassis is superimposed to provide anti-vibration measures.
