SU-8200
Commentary

A pre-main amplifier developed following the concept of the SU-8600.

The main amplifier circuit has an orthodox configuration of first stage differential amplification, voltage amplification and output stage.
In addition, the operating point of each stage transistor was examined to determine the best point to achieve low noise and low distortion.

The power supply unit uses a ± 4 power supply system with separate power supplies for the pre-unit and main unit.
In addition, the pre-section equalizer circuit and tone control circuit are all driven by a constant voltage power supply. This reduces transient crosstalk distortion and self-transient distortion, which tend to occur due to instantaneous large input, and reduces distortion during operation.

The equalizer circuit has a circuit configuration in which the differential amplifier stage of the current mirror load is the first stage first stage and the emitter follower of the low current load is used as the output stage. The differential amplifier stage of the current mirror load least noise can be selected.

The tone control circuit uses a circuit with a first stage differential current mirror load similar to the equalizer circuit, so that the tone quality is maintained and only the tone quality is adjusted.
The turnover frequencies can be switched to two levels for both low and high frequencies.

The newly developed 26-step attenuator is used for the volume, and the level setting between -30dB and -40dB, which is most frequently used, can be done in 2 dB steps.
It also comes with a Detent + Loudness terminal so that when the volume is low, the loudness functions to compensate for the lack of bass.

Equipped with low / high filter.

There was a wood case sold separately.
