Commentary

The power amplifier of the 10000 series was developed without any compromise in order to improve the performance and pursue the reproduction sound with the total power of the technics engineering team and the results of the research and development accumulated over many years.

The circuit configuration has been developed from the all-stage direct-coupled OCL circuit used in all Technics amplifiers since the Technics50A, and employs a four stage differential amplifier in the amplifier stage.
The complimentary service transistor is a complete output circuit combining PNP and NPN types.

In order to improve the stability at the output terminal, which is a problem in the OCL circuit, we used carefully selected components such as a 4-stage differential amplifier with hfe in the amplification stage. We also adopted a circuit method using a DC feedback amplifier to compensate for voltage fluctuations at the output terminal.
As a result, the voltage fluctuation is stabilized within ± 3 mv at -10 ℃ to + 60 ℃, resulting in a highly reliable circuit design.

The power supply section employs the world's first large-capacity constant-voltage power supply to reduce fluctuations in power supply voltage and voltage fluctuations during large output.

It has three built-in protection circuits : protection against shorting of the speaker terminal or excessive input, protection of the amplifier when an abnormal low impedance load is connected, protection of the speaker due to abnormal displacement of the DC potential of the output terminal, and protection of the amplifier when the temperature of the radiator rises excessively.

A newly developed peak detection type is used for the power meter.
