Commentary
FM stereo tuner developed with emphasis on FM sound quality.
The front-end uses a frequency linear 5-row variable capacitor with a built-in oscillation circuit.
This varicon achieves excellent scale accuracy by strictly controlling the frequency with respect to the angle. In addition, stability is enhanced by the use of three dimensional wiring by making the station part into blocks, and frequency drift due to changes in temperature and humidity is suppressed.
In addition, three dual-gate MOS-type FETs are used in the two RF stage and the mixer stage to improve intermodulation and intermodulation.
The IF section uses a phase-linear 8-element filter with excellent group delay characteristics to obtain high selectivity, and the high-gain amplifier stage and 6-stage limiter prevent degradation of sound quality due to interference.
In addition, by using a wide-band quadrature detector circuit and adjusting the offset voltage, low-distortion characteristics are realized over a wide band.
The MPX section employs a new type of PLL that adds a current adjustment circuit to a multiplier circuit that demodulates stereo signals to reduce demodulation distortion.
The audio section uses a ± 2 power supply differential direct-coupled amplifier, and is designed with a wide dynamic range that can cover 300% overmodulation as well as a low distortion factor.
The muting circuit uses a relay muting circuit driven by a Schmidt trigger circuit.
Since the output obtained by AND-synthesizing the antenna input and the discri S curve is driven by a Schmitt trigger circuit, it is always possible to receive in a good condition.
Metal glazed semi-fixed volume, which is resistant to temperature and humidity changes, is used for the offset voltage adjustment part, the separation adjustment part, and the PLL-VCO adjustment part of the detection circuit to improve reliability.
In addition to the conventional 300 Ω and 75 Ω terminals, a 75 Ω F-type connector is used for the antenna terminal.
It is equipped with a rich output terminal.
There was a wood case sold separately.
