Commentary
FM/AM tuner that uses Kenwood's original 4D system and pentacle circuit.
It is equipped with Kenwood's original 4D system.
The front end is composed of a direct linear reception circuit, the IF amplifier is composed of a distortion collecting circuit, the detector is composed of a direct linear loop detector, and the stereo demodulation circuit is composed of a direct pure decoder to improve basic performance.
The Pentacle Circuit, a new layout based on an audio-like concept, has been adopted after clearing the problems of tuners such as circuit design, ground point concept, and stability of high-frequency amplifier.
Since the power supply and each stage are directly connected at the shortest distance, there is no interference between the stages via the power supply, and the low-level playback capability is greatly improved. In particular, the oscillation signal from the local oscillator circuit on the front end has no extra spectrum and becomes a pure frequency, making it possible to transmit a pure FM signal to the next stage and beyond.
We have incorporated our own FM technology into the front-end section to eliminate the negative effects of TV stations and RF video output.
Equipped with an RF selector, it enables direct switching in a strong electric field and distance switching in a weak electric field. Even when there is a close high-power station, interference such as RF intermodulation and intermodulation is suppressed and high-quality sound is obtained.
It is also equipped with IF band wide / narrow switching.
The IF, DCC, and detection sections employ chip components for resistors, magnetic capacitors, FETs, and diodes to reduce mutual interference and eliminate unstable elements such as high-frequency jumps.
Equipped with a Rec calibrator and modulation level meter.
Equipped with a random 16-station preset mechanism and auto-tuning (FM) mechanism.
Equipped with a 3-station program mechanism convenient for recording messages.
Equipped with AM band control.
