An FM/AM tuner developed as a tuner that can fully bring out the advantages of PCM recording sources.

We have introduced two technologies unique to the trio : a double-convert system that achieves high SN by lowering only the FM carrier component without modifying the modulation signal, and a pulse count method that achieves wide-band distortion-free linear detection.
In addition, a copper-styrene condenser is used as a low-pass filter for pulse count detection to further improve sound quality.

The MPX section uses a new sample-and-hold MPX circuit.
Good separation characteristics are obtained because switching is performed using pulses instead of the conventional square wave.

It uses a direct conversion system, and even when there is a large output station close to it, if it is set to the direct position, it can receive signals without deteriorating the SN ratio.
By combining the RF and IF selectors, it is possible to receive signals from stations under various radio wave conditions. It is also equipped with variable muting and a clean reception filter.

The AM section is equipped with a large-diameter, Hi-Q, low-impedance electromagnetic wave sensitive loop antenna. By improving the performance of the antenna coil by 30%, the AM section is highly sensitive and less susceptible to unpleasant power line noise.
In addition, the IF band is switched to two stages, and the wide-band is best suited for receiving natural sound over a wide band, while the narrow-band is best suited for receiving signals from pre-emphasized broadcasting stations.

Equipped with variable muting, you can set the muting level according to your needs.

The grounding of various signals handled in each part of the FM tuner section is achieved by clarifying the reference point of each part and arranging the relationship between input and output at the point where the frequency is converted. This realizes one point grounding.
