Commentary
A DVD mini-component that also supports surround DVD playback.
The ES-9DVD consists of an RMD-ES9DVD, a main speaker LS-ES9, and a satellite speaker.
Body Part
The RMD-ES9DVD can play DVDs, CDs, MD (MDLP compatible), and FM/AM tuners. It can also play MP3/WMA CD-R/RW discs created on a PC.
You can also display JPEG images on your TV.
It is equipped with V. F.S. II (Virtual Front Surround II) which is original surround technology.
In this circuit, 5.1 channel audio signals are processed as they are by the TruSurround IC. TruSurround is a Dolby-certified surround technology developed by SRS Labs, Inc. in the United States that enables natural multi-channel surround playback using only front speakers. Only the main speaker and compact satellite speakers provide powerful surround effects.
V. F.S. II also provides a realistic surround effect with surround speakers on the front.
Equipped with a progressive scan circuit for DVD playback.
Equipped with D2 terminal as standard, you can enjoy clearer images on progressive TV etc.
You can play DVD-R/RW discs recorded with a DVD recorder.

It is equipped with a surround mode that you can choose according to the genre of DVD software.
The Cinema1 provides a natural DVD experience, while the Cinema2 provides a more powerful surround effect for older movies and other software that does not support 5.1 channel audio signals.
The Cinema3 is used to set the surround speakers apart widely from left to right or to set them as rear speakers.
Music mode is used to enjoy music software such as music clips with live presence.
Equipped with an OSD function, music data in MP3/WMA format and JPEG image data recorded on a CD-R/RW disc can be viewed on the TV screen. Thumbnail display of files and folders of MP3/WMA music data is also supported.
You can also select a music folder on the screen and press the O. T. E. key to T. E. key. (Music data in MP3/WMA format is analog recorded.)
The MP3/WMA has two types of switchable icons. When selected, the icons are displayed in an enlarged view. You can also view images while listening to music.
Slot-in mechanism is adopted.
It supports CD-MD4 x recording and MDLP group mode.
It realizes a compact size of 115 mm width that fits neatly into the living room.
Speaker part
An 8 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
A newly developed hybrid edge has been adopted for the edge part, and by using original material which is a combination of cloth material and rubber material, the compact body achieves both powerful deep low sound reproduction and delicate middle and low range reproduction.
A 2.5 cm balanced dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The enclosure uses a bass reflex system.
Satellite speaker section
The satellite speaker is equipped with a 5 cm cone type full range unit.
The enclosure is hermetically sealed.
Other
Wireless remote control is included.
