Commentary

This speaker system employs a crystal plasma diamond diaphragm tweeter.

For the low range, 33 cm cone type woofer with 3000 filler carbon ceramic diaphragm is adopted.
This diaphragm is more than three times stronger than the conventional 1k filament carbon fiber, and the piston motion band is expanded and the propagation speed is also improved.
The magnetic circuit uses a magnet with a total flux of 147,000 maxwell.

A 12 cm cone type skoker is used for the middle area.
The diaphragm uses the same 3000 filler carbon ceramic diaphragm as the woofer, and the magnetic circuit uses a magnet with a total flux of 72,000 maxwell.

A 2.5 cm hard dome type tweeter using a plasma diamond diaphragm is adopted for the high frequency range.
In the LS 990 hg, the ion plating method, which is a method for forming a film on a titanium substrate, is newly improved, and plasma diamond film can be formed at room temperature, adhesion to the substrate is enhanced, and a vibration plate with high stability is obtained.

In order to reproduce input signals faithfully, very thick oxygen-free copper wires (0.18 φ x54 cores) are used for internal wiring in the network, which are less distorted and less susceptible to external influence.
In addition, it is equipped with continuously variable acoustic level control for skoker and tweeter.

The enclosure uses a 40 mm thick baffle plate to prevent unwanted box noise and a 30 mm round baffle on both sides to prevent distortion due to the diffraction effect of sound.
The duct is installed on the back side to eliminate unnecessary noise.

Speaker terminal that can handle very thick cable is adopted.

There are brown and black models.
