Compatible LD player with digital TBC (time base collector).

Horizontal resolution of 425 lines and image S / N of 50 dB have been achieved.

It uses a digital timebase collector (TBC) to convert video signals extracted from a disk into 8-bit digital data and store them in memory. Using a crystal oscillator, the time axis is readjusted, and signal resynchronization is controlled at a control speed four times that of burst signals.

Noise is greatly reduced by adopting a multi-FM detector in which multiple stages of demodulation circuits are connected in parallel to the demodulation circuit section that demodulates video signals from the disk.

It is equipped with a digital noise cancellation circuit to eliminate unnecessary noise mixed with the reproduction signal and to greatly reduce interference factors such as pre-shooting and ringing that appear on the screen that blur the outline of the image.

When listening to a CD, the analog demodulation circuit of the LD and the video output are stopped to suppress degradation of sound quality and generation of external noise.

The D/A conversion section is equipped with a 1-bit PWM D/A converter. In addition to the third order noise-shaping D/A converter conversion method that is set independently for the left and right channels, smooth digital / analog conversion is possible by using an 8 x oversampling digital filter.

It is equipped with various functions such as color drop-out compensation, CD/CDV/LD editing, new Midnight theater mode to highlight the dialogue components at low volume, display superimpose 3-stage switching (normal mode / ON/OFF), memory stop and remote control power off, introscan and random play, etc.

A newly designed remote controller with shuttle ring is included.
