KX-W8020
Commentary

Double Quick Reverse Deck with recording function on both A and B decks.

B deck is equipped with Dolby HX-PRO and auto bias.
The Dolby HX-PRO automatically adjusts the bias amount of recording to improve the recording performance of the tape.
The auto-bias function detects the characteristics of the tape and automatically adjusts the recording level using a microcomputer so that the recording level at different frequencies in the low and high ranges is the same.

Two tapes can be recorded simultaneously from one source.
In addition to normal, high-speed dubbing is also possible, and long-time continuous recording and playback using two tapes is also possible.

When connected to a Kenwood XS-marked CD player or LD player, the player continuously plays back the loudest part of the sound, and the setting of the optimum level value is completed only by adjusting the recording level in the recording standby state.
In addition, the KX-W8020 can be used to operate a CD player and to play synchro-rec.

Equipped with the DPSS function, it is possible to perform an index scan (A deck) in which the head part of the song is played one after another.

Timer linked AC input is used.

When serial connection is made to the AV amplifier with XS and XR mark of Kenwood, recording and playback functions can be operated by the system with the remote control attached to the AV amplifier.
