Commentary

Stereo cassette deck equipped with original constant current drive circuit SuperTLLE and NewDBS.

Special emphasis is placed on the rotating system. In addition to increasing the capstan diameter, a newly developed large-diameter rotor motor is mounted to directly drive the capstan, thereby stabilizing the tape path.
In addition, a low-torque ripple motor is used to drive the reel, and the torque ripple is reduced to 1/2 of the conventional one.
These two large motors and a high-rigidity mechanism reduce wow flutter.

A NewDBS (Dynamic Bias System) circuit is used to enable high-quality recording of high-level, high-frequency extended sources such as CDs.
In the NewDBS circuit, a new amplifier is added to the output of the REC amplifier to eliminate the non-linearity of the detection circuit. By taking advantage of the characteristics of the REC amplifier, the recording capability is greatly improved.

The mechanical part is firmly mounted by integrally molding the decorative plate part including the cassette half guide and reference guide with zinc die cast.
In addition, the fixation strength of the mechanism is improved by attaching this zinc die-cast decorative plate directly to the chassis.
In addition, by simplifying the mechanism main body and using a metal with high rigidity for the head base in which the head is installed, noise reduction is achieved.

In order to store the wide dynamic range of digital sources such as CDs and at the same time to record clear sound with little distortion, it is equipped with a Super TLLE (twin loop linear exciter) of Kenwood's original constant current drive system.

The head uses a large amorphous head with less magnetic saturation.
Since the core is large, it can generate a strong magnetic field. At the same time, the head touch of the tape is improved, and the transmission characteristics are improved by using oxygen-free copper for the winding.

Bias & level calibration is installed to draw out the capability of the tape.

± 2 power supply circuit is adopted.

It is equipped with a new Dolby system whose dynamic characteristics are improved by exclusive IC and newly designed circuit.

It is equipped with NewDPSS that you can ask for various music selection functions.

Equipped with a wide-range 16-point FL peak hold level meter that displays up to -36dB and a linear tape counter that shows the amount of tape running and remaining amount.

Equipped with an L/R-independent preset volume and a recording master volume.

Equipped with auto tape selector, MPX filter, and headphone level volume.
