KX-6000
Commentary

A stereo cassette deck with Dolby NR and bias equalizer switching.

The KX 6000 has a separate mechanism for the take-up reel and the capstan drive belt.
In the conventional cassette deck, the capstan drive and the take-up reel drive are performed by a single belt. The vibration generated when the take-up reel is driven is transmitted to the capstan, causing deterioration of sound quality. The KX-600 uses a flat belt for the capstan drive and a square belt for the take-up reel drive as a separation mechanism to prevent mutual interference.
Capstan has a diameter of 52 mm, a weight of 160g and a sensitive mass of 4730g ・ cm.2In addition, this capstan improves machining accuracy and suppresses roundness errors to 0.1 μ m or less. In combination with the adoption of neoprene rubber with thickness unevenness of 0.05 mm or less for the flat belt, load fluctuation and amplitude generated during tape winding are greatly reduced.

The head uses a hard permalloy head that is twice as hard as conventional permalloy heads and 10 times more durable.

Dolby noise reduction is incorporated to reduce tape hiss and tape noise.
The KX-6000 uses a dedicated IC to reduce misalignment and aging.

3-stage equalizer (normal / extra / chrome) and 2-stage bias (normal / chrome) independent switching system is adopted, making it possible to record with the ability of the tape used.

Equipped with a -12dB microphone attenuator, there is no saturation even when a sound source with large sound energy is recorded with a microphone.

Equipped with timer start mechanism capable of recording absence and alarm clock playback by connecting a commercially available timer.

It is equipped with a full auto shut-off mechanism. When the tape finishes running, the electronic or Rio senses the end of running and shuts off.

It is equipped with a VU meter with a recording magnetic flux density of 160 pwb of the tape as the recording standard level of 0 VU.

When one microphone is connected, you can record both left and right channels with one microphone by connecting it to the L side jack.

There is a volume on the rear panel to control the output level.

There was a carrying handle as an option sold separately.
