A CD player with a D. R. I. V. E. system.
The D. R. I. V. E. system uses real-time processing of adaptive filter technology to improve micro-level reproducibility and responsiveness to impulsive sounds such as attack sounds.
The D. R. I. V. E. processor is located between the 8 x oversampling and 20-bit digital filter and the 20-bit data-input D/Ak-on barter. The processor ensures that the output from the digital filter is always 20-bit accurate even in the range where only 16-bit accuracy can be obtained.
This processor consists of several low-pass filters with cutoff frequencies in different audible frequency bands, and the delay unit adjusts the amount of delay generated by these low-pass filters.
The data from the digital filter is distributed from the input terminal to each delay unit and then to each low-pass filter. All of the delay units and low-pass filters are in operation at all times. The selector control circuit continuously detects the frequency component and level of the input data, and detects the optimum low-pass filter output.
This allows D/A conversion with 20-bit precision data at all times and improves sound quality.
The D/A converter uses a 4th-order 0 shift noise shaping 1-bit D/A converter to improve the phase and high-frequency characteristics.
The digital filter is equipped with an 8 x oversampling digital filter.
The master clock of the D/A converter uses a high-precision master clock to reduce jitter.
