This tape deck can play back and forth 4-track tapes by using a PSS Oatley bath system and a foil-sensing auto-reverse system.

Equipped with the PSS Oatley Bus function, when one direction of tape playback is finished, the tape is automatically sent in the opposite direction to continue playback. With the PSS method (phase signal detection automatic reverse method), a reverse signal is input to the tape by a button operation without any manipulation of the tape. This enables automatic reverse playback.

A symmetrical piano touch control system piano touch control system, and operations such as forward and reverse, quick winding in both directions and stop can be performed with 4 buttons, improving operability.
Each switch is micro-touch and fully proofed.

The capstan motor uses a 2-speed hysteresis synchronous motor. The reel drive motor uses a newly developed small-size, high-efficiency 6-pole eddy current outer rotor motor. The outer rotor motor rotates outside the stator, so there is very little unevenness in rotation due to the flywheel effect. It also has many features in terms of heat generation and mechanical performance.
The A-6010 3-motor system has less wow flutter and has obtained stable head touch and durability.

The head part uses a plug-in type to facilitate quick conversion and maintenance of accuracy and performance.
The head uses a narrow gap hyperbolic type head.

Reverse and repeat playback by foil sensing is also possible.
A plug-in adapter is included to enable Oatley verse at the desired position by attaching a conductive foil sensing tape to the back of the tape. Repeat playback is also possible by using an optional unit.

Since the tape tension switching system is adopted and the tape tension can be switched in two stages depending on the thickness of the tape, thin tapes of 1/2 mill or less can be used.

An operation mechanism with a delay circuit is adopted, and the pinch roller is released once until the rotation is stabilized when the playback direction such as forward playback or reverse playback is switched. Therefore, the rise at the start is good and playback can be performed from the beginning with peace of mind.

Equipped with an automatic stop mechanism, the mechanism automatically stops when the tape is rewound or played in reverse.

The amplifier section is equipped with a total of four solid state amplifiers consisting of two recording systems and two playback systems.

Since the recording level adjustment of microphone input and line input is independent, mixing is possible.

Equipped with a large VU meter.

Since the bias oscillation frequency is as high as 100 kHz, the recording range is wide and the beat noise with the FM stereo broadcast transmission is not picked up.

Equipped with a monitor selector switch, monitoring can be performed by switching between source and tape.

It has a headphone amplifier, and you can use headphones with 8 Ω impedance.

Equipped with a DIN connector terminal.

Equipped with a 4-digit index counter.

Equipped with a stabilizer with a perfectly balanced flywheel, it stabilizes the tape running together with left and right tension arms.

Stainless steel hairline finish is used for the front panel.

Remote control is possible.

38cm/s tapes can be reproduced by replacing with separately sold capstan sleeve and pinch roller.
