AP-100
Commentary

Peak level meter unit slightly smaller than AP 300.

The AP-100 is a popular model with the same performance as the AP-300, and is especially recommended for cassette deck users.

Equipped with a peak level meter.
The operation principle of the peak level meter is different from that of the VU meter, which indicates the average value. The peak level meter always indicates the peak value regardless of the waveform. This is useful for recording with many peak components, and high-level recording can be performed up to the saturation point of the tape.

The AP-100 has a short attack time so that the peak can be indicated accurately even for instantaneous pulse signals. However, pulse signals shorter than 10 ms are less audible even if they are clipped and distorted. Therefore, the AP-100 uses an attack time of 10 ms.

A relatively long recovery time is used to make the guidelines easier to read.

In order to monitor a wide dynamic range, the scale indication range is widened by the logarithmic amplifier.
Especially, it is easy to read because the scale interval of around 0 dB is wide.

You can read the music power sent from the power amplifier to the speakers.
